TOP KISSIMEE PHOTO LOCATIONS
Shingle Creek Regional Park — Babb Landing
Shingle Creek Regional Park at Babb Landing offers a natural, rustic environment that works especially well for family photography and has ample space for extended family portraits. The park also includes a historic Pioneer Village (which requires a separate permit) for styled shoots. There is one practical consideration: the large field can sometimes be occupied by soccer games on weekends. For that reason, weekday evening sessions, or checking the game schedule before planning a weekend session, can make a significant difference.
Storey Lake Resort
Storey Lake offers a very different type of photography environment. Comprised of vacation rental homes, for families staying at the resort, one of its biggest advantages is convenience. Parking and access are straightforward, and photographing where you're staying can make the logistics of a vacation family session much easier. The area isn't necessarily the most dramatic scenic setting, but careful use of composition, trees, shade, and natural light can keep the attention where it belongs: on your family.
Kissimmee Lakefront Park
If you're looking for a setting with waterfront views and a more open, scenic feel, Kissimmee Lakefront Park is another location worth considering. Situated along the shores of Lake Tohopekaliga, the park offers a different atmosphere from the wooded, rustic surroundings of Shingle Creek, with lake views, open green spaces, and a mix of natural and landscaped scenery. For family and couples photography, the waterfront setting can provide a beautiful backdrop for relaxed portraits, especially when the light is soft later in the day.
Frequently Asked Questions - KISSIMMEE PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHER
Do you photograph families visiting Kissimmee on vacation?
Yes. I photograph families who live in Kissimmee as well as families visiting Central Florida for vacations, reunions, birthdays, and other special occasions.
Where do you photograph families in Kissimmee?
I've photographed at locations in Kissimmee including Shingle Creek Regional Park -Babb Landing, Storey Lake Resort, and Celebration. I'm also available to shoot at Kissimmee Lakefront Park and Twin Oaks Conservation Area. The best location always depends on your group size, the look you want, where you're staying, the available light, and the logistics of the session.
What is the best time of day for a Kissimmee photography session?
Golden hour and sunset are often ideal for the natural-light style I prefer, but the best time depends on your family and the location. Earlier sessions can also work well when we have suitable shade.
Can you photograph large or extended families?
Yes. I've photographed a 25-person family reunion at Shingle Creek Regional Park, including multiple generations. For larger groups, I'll consider the amount of space we need and how to organize the session so we can create both large group portraits and smaller combinations.
How do you choose a photography location in Kissimmee?
I consider the people coming to the session, the size and ages of the group, the look you want, the available light, the amount of space, accessibility, crowds, and how convenient the location is for you.
